RENOIR, Catalogue raisonné of paintings, pastels, drawings and watercolours
Guy-Patrice & Michel Dauberville
Final volume of the unique catalogue raisonné of Renoir
Until now, Pierre-Auguste Renoir was the only major Impressionist artist to have no catalogue raisonné, to find out more. This fifth volume covers the last phase of Renoir from 1911 to 1919 and concludes our catalogue raisonné of paintings, pastels, drawings and watercolors, filling this gap. This last volume lists 988 works identified and reproduced, 89 in the first supplement.
In these five volumes of our catalogue raisonné, we identified and reproduced 4019 paintings,148 pastels, 382 drawings and 105 watercolors for a total of 4654 works listed and reproduced.
Renoir had three great art dealers in his life, BERNHEIM-JEUNE is the only one that is still active. The BERNHEIM-JEUNE editions has published eight books about Renoir, the first one in 1913. In 1931, Messrs Josse and Gaston BERNHEIM-JEUNE established one of the most important reference work about Renoir called The Atelier de Renoir.
